About the Conference

The International TVET Conference 2026 will bring together leaders, practitioners and partners to explore how stronger collaboration between industry and TVET institutions can build relevant skills, create opportunities and strengthen global competitiveness.

The three-day conference will take place from 9–11 September 2026 at Mövenpick Hotel & Residences.

The conference is open to 500 registered participants. Participation is by registration, and spaces are limited.

The conference will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, technical sessions, networking opportunities and practical conversations on the future of skills development.

Alongside the conference, a public exhibition will showcase the talent, innovation and practical solutions emerging from Kenya's TVET sector. The exhibition will feature hands-on demonstrations, innovative technologies, student projects, training solutions and industry applications. The exhibition is open to the public.

Conference Participation

The conference has capacity for 500 participants.

Participation is by registration only. Places are limited and will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the registration criteria.

Participation in the conference does not include individual travel and accommodation costs.

Each delegate is responsible for their own:

  • Travel to and from Nairobi
  • Accommodation
  • Local transport
  • Personal expenses

Delegates are encouraged to make their travel and accommodation arrangements early.

The conference will take place at Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi, located in the heart of Westlands, one of Nairobi's major commercial and business districts.

The hotel has conference facilities, restaurants, Wi-Fi, parking and other amenities that make it convenient for conference participants.

Getting to the Venue
By Car

Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi is located on Mkungu Close, off Parklands Road in Westlands.

Parking

Parking is available for delegates who drive to the conference.

The hotel has an underground parking facility with capacity for approximately 400 vehicles.

Delegates are advised to follow the conference and venue signage when arriving.

By Public Transport

The venue is located in Westlands and is easily accessible by public transport.

For delegates using matatus, travel to Westlands Roundabout, then proceed towards Parklands Road and Mkungu Close, where the hotel is located.

Matatu route numbers should be confirmed and added to the website once the route information has been verified.

For convenience, delegates can also use ride-hailing services such as Uber or Bolt and enter: Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi, Mkungu Close, Westlands.

Several healthcare facilities are available within the Westlands and Parklands area.

Getting Around Nairobi
From Jomo Kenyatta International Airport

Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi is approximately 20 km from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). Travel time varies significantly depending on traffic.

As a guide, delegates should allow 45–90 minutes for the journey during rush hour.

Airport transfers can also be arranged through available transport providers or ride-hailing services.

From Nairobi CBD

The hotel is approximately 3–5 km from Nairobi's central business district, depending on the specific point of reference and route. It is also close to major city attractions and business districts.

Travel time varies with traffic. Delegates should allow additional time during morning and evening peak hours.

Delegates are responsible for arranging and paying for their own accommodation.
